Danish business leaders from seventeen defence & aerospace industries have traveled to Switzerland and Spain during the 27th to 30th of January to meet General Dynamics European Land Systems representatives with the objective to enhance mutual knowledge and explore business opportunities.

Organized by FAD (Danish Defence & Security Industries Association) and GDELS, the meetings and B2B contacts took place in the context of the Armoured Personal Carrier Replacement (APC-R) Project of the Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO).

The Danish business leaders traveled to Kreuzlingen (Switzerland) and Madrid and Seville (Spain) to get a personal, closer insight in the facilities, products and technologies of General Dynamics European Land Systems units – Mowag and Santa Bárbara Sistemas. The event provided a unique opportunity for a direct dialogue between the companies in response to the Danish customer’s requirements and in pursuit of GDELS’ long-term industrial growth strategy with export opportunities for the Danish industry.

General Dynamics European Land Systems is the first company involved in the APC-R Project that has invited the Danish Defence companies to visit its facilities and meet directly in an open and transparent way with the leaders of key departments such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Offsets and Management.

The visit displays the will and determination of General Dynamics European Land Systems to identify specific areas and opportunities for Industrial Cooperation and to work with the widest possible range of Danish business and technologies, including electronics, manufacturing, engineering, subassembly, testing, battle management, software solutions, training, maintenance, sensors, surveillance, vetronics and protection systems.
