GNSS & 5G workshop

El 12 de marzo tendrá lugar el workshop virtual sobre sistemas de navegación por satélite y el 5G, organizado por GMV y la Agencia Espacial Europea. Este encuentro girará en torno al potencial de esta tecnología de red inalámbrica de última generación y cómo los sistemas GNSS contribuyen a su desarrollo y despliegue.
GMV acumula una dilatada experiencia en proyectos para los sistemas de navegación europeos, Galileo y EGNOS. Actualmente, la compañía lidera el consorcio del proyecto europeo GINTO5G, con la misión de integrar los sistemas de navegación por satélite actuales en las redes inalámbricas 5G, para obtener datos de posicionamiento de alta precisión.
Dentro del programa de este workshop se tratarán los avances logrados en el marco de GINTO5G; asimismo habrá un espacio dedicado a la próxima generación de esta tecnología de comunicaciones, el 6G.
El evento contará con la participación del sector académico, industrial e institucional.

GNSS & 5G workshop (English)
The virtual workshop «GNSS and 5G», jointly organized by GMV and the European Space Agency and to be held on 12 March, will be looking at the potential of this latest-generation wireless technology and how GNSS might contribute towards its development and rollout.
GMV has built up a wealth of experience in Europe’s Galileo and EGNOS satellite systems. It is currently leading the consortium of the European project GINTO5G, with the remit of integrating navigation satellite systems with wireless 5G networks in order to obtain high-precision positioning data.
This workshop’s program will be dealing with the GINTO5G breakthroughs; it will also be looking ahead to the next generation of this communication technology, 6G.
The event will also be attended by academics, industrialists and institutional representatives.
